WHY PAFGYM

Six ways we are different

  1. Private 1:1 space

During your booked time, only you and your trainer use the space. It is a dedicated 1:1 studio with no personal workouts outside of sessions.

  2. The first 3 sessions start with measurement

We listen to your exercise goals and areas of discomfort, check InBody and movement screening, muscular endurance, and cardiorespiratory endurance in turn, and then build your plan.

  3. Trainer levels determined by score

Even among experienced trainers, we score degrees, national and accredited certifications, competition records, and conference presentations, and assign levels from Professional up to Master · Manager. Session fees by level follow fixed pricing.

  4. We hire only experienced trainers

PAFGYM selects only experienced trainers. A trainer who would be at senior level elsewhere starts at PAFGYM's first level. After joining, we keep learning together through training programs and industry conferences.

  5. Coaching with wearables and data

Our trainers try wearables such as continuous glucose monitors and smartwatches themselves first, then use them in sessions. Members only need to take the measurements; the trainer reads the accumulated records and works with them to change eating, exercise, and sleep habits. Blood glucose records are reviewed together in Kakao Healthcare's PASTA app.

  6. Our trainers try it first

We form teams to compete in HYROX, run marathons ourselves first, run Yangjaecheon with members, and wear glucose monitors ourselves first. We bring what we have experienced in our own bodies into our sessions.

TRAINER CAREER LADDER

Trainer levels
aren't earned by tenure alone

The PAFGYM trainer Career Ladder is scored out of 150 points. Tenure and session count, which build up simply by working longer, account for only 50 points. The remaining 100 points can be earned only through what trainers have studied and proven themselves: degrees and certifications, lectures and conference presentations, papers and columns, and competition records. Every trainer is re-evaluated each year to set their level: Professional, Senior, Master, or Manager.

FAQ

FAQ

How does orientation work?

There are 3 orientation sessions. On day 1 we hear about your goals and any discomfort and do InBody and movement screening. Day 2 is a muscular endurance assessment and lower-body exercises; day 3 is a cardiorespiratory endurance test and upper-body exercises.

How is my trainer chosen?

The studio manager assigns a trainer based on your goals and the times you can come. If an existing member referred you, you train with the trainer they recommended.

How long is one session?

50 minutes: a 5-minute warm-up, 40 minutes of main training, and a 5-minute cool-down.

Can I use the facilities outside of session times?

PAFGYM operates on a 1:1 reservation basis. The facility cannot be used outside your booked session time.
