Three assessments
become a one-page plan
We measure body composition, movement, muscular endurance, and cardiorespiratory endurance by the same standards, and decide with you where to start. The plan and records made this way remain yours, and a few months later we measure again the same way and set the changed numbers side by side.

Training matched to your goals
DATA
Blood glucose data coaching
You wear a continuous glucose monitor for ten days and review the records in Kakao Healthcare's 'PASTA' app with your trainer. By changing meal order, walking after meals and exercise timing, you see how your body responds.
GLP-1
Exercise while on medication
During periods of rapid weight loss, exercise that protects muscle and adequate protein intake matter even more. Your trainer looks at your exercise and eating habits together with you, and advises you to discuss any decisions about medication with your prescribing doctor.
WEARABLE
Reviewing wearable data together
Heart rate, sleep, and step records from the smartwatch you already wear are reflected in your session plan. We also look at how you move on days without a session.
RUN
Running
From form and rhythm for first-time runners to strength work for those preparing for a half or full marathon. On the third Sunday of every month, we run along Yangjaecheon with our members.
HYROX
HYROX preparation
A race our trainers have competed in themselves. You practice the running and the eight stations separately, and train to your race pace.
GOLF
Golf conditioning
We train pre-round warm-ups and the mobility and strength needed for rotation. We have held golf training classes together with lululemon.

3,000–10,000 sessions and a career score of 80+. Programs are built around specific goals such as strength and fitness.
Master · Manager
10,000+ sessions and a career score of 100+. Beyond exercise goals, they help design the rhythm of your whole life.
TRAINER CAREER LADDER
Trainer levels
aren't earned by tenure alone
PAFGYM trainers cannot become Senior simply by working a long time. Tenure and session count make up only 50 of 150 points; the remaining 100 points come from what they have studied and proven themselves: degrees, national and international certifications, university lectures and conference presentations, papers and columns, and competition records. Trainers are re-evaluated every year: 80 points or more for Senior, and 100 points or more for Master and Manager.

FAQ
Personal training questions
I've never exercised before. Is that okay?
Yes. Many PAFGYM members started exercising for the first time with us. At your first orientation we check your current condition and movement, then start at an intensity that fits the results.
The first few weeks are spent learning good posture, breathing and the basic movements. Weight and reps go up slowly, at the pace your body adapts.
How does orientation work?
Orientation is split into three sessions. The first is a trial session; from the second on, it continues as regular sessions after you register.
Day 1 · Understanding your body We hear about your goals and any discomfort, check muscle mass and body fat with InBody, then look at your joints' range of motion. We finish with light bodyweight exercises anyone can follow.
Day 2 · Muscular endurance and lower body We check your baseline fitness with movements like squats and push-ups, and learn lower-body exercises. If anything feels uncomfortable, we stop right away and switch to another movement.
Day 3 · Cardiorespiratory endurance and upper body We check cardiorespiratory function with running matched to your fitness level, learn upper-body exercises, and finish with stretching.
You can check trial session prices and available times on each studio's Naver Booking.
How do trainer levels differ?
PAFGYM hires only experienced trainers. So even our first level, Professional, means a trainer with experience equivalent to a senior trainer elsewhere who has also completed PAFGYM's training program.
Professional We teach everything from good posture and safe fundamentals to programs built around your goals.
Senior Trainers with 3,000–10,000 sessions taught and a career score of 80 points or more, who build programs around specific goals such as strength and fitness.
Master · Manager Trainers with over 10,000 sessions taught and a career score of 100 points or more.
Fees differ by level. Please see the pricing table by level as well.
What determines a level?
Levels are set by what trainers have achieved and how much they study, not by how long they have worked. Degrees, national and accredited certifications, education and conference participation, conference presentations and writing, and competition results are all scored out of 150 points; 80 points or more qualifies for Senior, and 100 or more for Master.
The full evaluation criteria are published in the Career Ladder evaluation table.
What goals can PT help with?
We build the program around your goal: managing weight and body fat, building strength and fitness, learning good posture and movement, or preparing your fitness for sports like marathons or golf.
Even with the same goal, each person's condition and lifestyle are different, so we build a plan for you based on what we find at your first orientation.
How are my exercise records managed?
We keep your InBody results and session records and show you how you compare with your starting point at set intervals. If you use a wearable such as a smartwatch, your trainer can also review your steps, heart rate and sleep with you to plan your life outside of sessions.
You can read more about how it works in PT with data.
How many times a week should I train?
The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that adults do at least 150 minutes a week of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise, such as brisk walking, and strength training on at least 2 days a week.
That is why we recommend PT at least twice a week. If you want to build strength and fitness while also managing body fat, three times a week works well, and even once a week during busy periods helps you maintain your current body. Your trainer will give you exercises to do on your own on days without a session. What matters most is consistency.
What is the Family package?
A package of 48 sessions shared when two or more immediate family members train together. For consistent results, attending 4 times a week is the rule, and Master and Manager trainers teach private sessions only. You can see the price in the pricing table.
Can I change my trainer?
If at any point the schedule or direction doesn't feel right, please tell the studio manager. We'll listen and help you continue training with another trainer.
What is the program where you exercise while reviewing your blood glucose records?
A 1:1 program in which you wear a continuous glucose monitor for about 10 days, and your trainer reviews the records with you to adjust meal order and exercise timing. You can see in numbers how your body responds to different meals and exercise.
It does not replace medical diagnosis; anything that needs medical care, we will direct you to discuss with your doctor.
