BEYOND THE STUDIO

What PAFGYM does outside of sessions

SELECT

A studio you come to learn in

Learning at PAFGYM began in 2006 with a sports medicine study group the co-founders ran together. That study group became today's PAFGYM Conference. It has continued with a new theme each year, from the shoulder and hip to running injuries and studio management; PAFGYM trainers take the stage, and owners and trainers from other studios fill the audience.

PAFGYM SEED, our education program for aspiring trainers, grew from the same roots. For a month, students rotate through our studios and learn movement and posture assessment directly from working trainers. We believe that people who have taught teach more precisely.

MEMBER STORIES

TWO MONTHS

So you can do it on your own

We spent two months with a member in their twenties, an international student staying in Korea for a short time. The first two weeks went to breathing, core strength and movement assessment; weeks three to six were for learning the basic weight exercises. In the last two weeks we built a routine together for them to do alone after returning home. Making sure exercise continues after the sessions end is part of PAFGYM's job, too.

TEN YEARS

10 years in the same space

One member started exercising for the first time at sixty and has been coming to PAFGYM for 10 years. The goal: to play golf healthily, for a long time. The studio celebrated that 10th anniversary together. Having so many long-term members is what PAFGYM is proudest of.
